Patton Compliance is an insurance licensing consulting firm founded by Joe Patton, an attorney with over 25 years of business, legal, and consulting experience in insurance law, governmental issues, licensing issues, legislative review, claims, corporate issues, compliance consulting and marketing.
Joe has underwriting and management experience with an A-rated insurance company, including frequency and loss analysis, risk evaluation, and state insurance department compliance response. For Patton Compliance he works regularly on state insurance department and administrative compliance matters including insurance licensing, claims, regulatory response, administrative actions, and other DOI and corporate compliance issues affecting Patton Compliance clients.
TPA Licensing Director
Mary has over 25 years in the insurance industry, including management positions in licensing, claims, account management and forms filings. Mary has over twenty years experience in licensing, product filings, and insurance compliance. She established and successfully managed two start-up licensing departments for third party administrators and insurance companies and is a former claims manager for a large national TPA.
Mary currently manages administrative TPA licensing and corporate registration projects for Patton Compliance. She developed and has edited a Third Party Administrator Licensing Guide.
Mary directs licensing activities and multi-state projects for Patton Compliance's TPA clients and has successfully completed hundreds of licensing applications and corporate registrations on behalf of Patton Compliance.
Senior Licensing Administrator
Madeline has over 15 years of business, finance and insurance experience, including positions in accounting, auditing, financial review, compliance and licensing. Detailed financial management experience includes budgeting, construction finance and financial statement review and auditing.
Experience with both for profit and non-profit entities, she has held positions as Director of Finance for a non-profit organization and Auditor at a public accounting firm. Her financial experience has been invaluable for Patton Compliance clients during the TPA licensing and renewal process.
Madeline currently provides licensing and compliance services to our third party administrator clients, including quarterly, bi-annual and annual multistate filings and renewals.
Madeline graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Spanish. She has held volunteer positions on various non-profit boards of directors and student organizations.
Kaitlin has 5 years of experience in the legal industry, which includes work with licensing. She has also worked in customer service, sales and marketing for 2 years. She has experience drafting legal documents, working closely with clients, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Kaitlin currently provides licensing and compliance services to our third party administrator clients, including quarterly, bi-annual and annual multistate filings and renewals.
Kaitlin graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Occupational and Technical Studies and a minor in Marketing.
Alyssa has over six years of experience in the insurance industry, including positions auditing workers’ compensation claims, property & casualty financial oversight and title regulation. She has experience working with third party administrators and insurance companies, along with state regulators and legal representatives. Her regulatory knowledge, interpretation of statutes/rules and experience with financial statements and legal documents makes her a perfect addition to the team.
After graduating from Florida State University in 2009 with a degree in Accounting, she was re-admitted as a non-degree seeking student in order to take some graduate level risk management classes in 2010. She earned her Associate Professional Insurance Regulator (APIR) from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in December 2014, and enjoys volunteering to help the St. George Lighthouse Association throughout the year.
Producer, Agency & Adjuster Licensing Consultant
Barb has over 30 years in the insurance industry, including 18 years with an A-rated life and health insurance carrier. She held management positions in licensing and commissions, and successfully managed a licensing department responsible for over 100,000 independent agents and brokers.
Barb has extensive experience with market conduct examinations including multi-state exams, evaluation of work processes and procedures, compliance review and recommendations, licensing alternatives, quality control standards, cost reduction, and licensing training.
Barb is a charter member of the Society of Insurance Licensing Administrators, now known as the Securities and Insurance Licensing Association (SILA), and is a former advisory board member and chapter representative.
